How to access TCMB data service using ReST client

This post explain how to access data service using ReST client.

 Introduction

Temenos Connect Mobile Banking (TCMB) Data service built on top of IRIS. IRIS is an open source runtime framework for Interaction, Reporting & Information Services.

Using IRIS you can quickly & easily create:

  • Web based services according to RESTful constraints
  • Aggregate/mashup multiple resource managers into a single interaction service
  • Program Hypermedia (HATEOAS) interactions with a state machine domain specific language (DSL)

 Prerequisites

 Access Data service

To access a data service:

  1. Launch Google Chrome Browser and go to apps
    If you can’t find My Apps then type chrome://apps/ in chrome address bar
  2. From chrome browser, launch Postman from apps
    chrome_apps
  3. Click on the Postman
    postman
  4. Enter the URI of your data service
    enter_url
  5. Provide the authorization details. You need to select basic authentication, enter username and password and click on Update request

  6. Set Accept header to application/atom+xml
    If you want to get json format the set application/hal+json
    content_type
  7. Set method type to GET
    method_type
  8. Click on the send button to send the request to server
    send_request
  9. If everything correct then you’ll get the response in xml format
    xml_contents
  10. Initially you’ll get service document, if you want to GET individual resource, type the resource name in address bar after the URI and click on send
    Example: /enqTcibCurrencyLists()
    resource
  11. You’ll get the response xml format
